Different from picture and NOT leather 2010-07-23 If this cover is leather then I'm the Queen of England. It smells so chemically and plasticky it makes you light headed when you unwrap it. I've handled enough leather goods in my life to know the difference. It feels like plastic too. The supposed branding on the cover looks nothing like a leather branding and just like you'd expect it to look if someone took a hot metal logo stamp and pressed it against cheap plastic - it has hard edges and no give. Then if all this were not bad enough, the cover you receive is nothing like like the one pictured. The logo is completely different and in a different place! The popper fastening is in the wrong place (back to front) so it will get in your way when you press the button to turn the page. This is a scam. Either the other reviewers received something else or they are slightly odd and have poor taste. This plastic rubbish should cost a TENTH of the price I paid and they're asking. Save yourself the trouble and just throw your money down the drain.
Simple and elegant 2010-07-19 I usually go for black leather cases for my devices, but I was a little unsure when it came to this one. I needn't have worried. It opens book-style - much more in keeping with an e-reader. It is very easy to insert and remove the Kindle, something you shouldn't need to do often since all ports and switches are fully accessible (there's no chance of interference with the 5-way joystick as with other cases). Once inserted, the Kindle is kept securely in place by the all-four-corners design. There are no pointless pen loops or card holders. The leather is soft to the touch, and is matte rather than shiny. Another reviewer has stated their opinion that the material looks and feels cheap, but I don't find that to be the case at all. It's basically a simple and elegant case for your Kindle. The only minor drawback is that you can't access the Kindle's Previous Page button with your left hand so easily, but using your other hand is hardly difficult.
Kindle Cover 2010-02-21 Very well made, good rapport price quality. Gives the Kindle a real "book" feel when reading. Good protection against mishaps.
Good value 2010-02-07 This cover fits well, and its weight feels good in the hand. The padding is adequate and the top folds back comfortably for reading. Generally, it's good value for the price. The main downsides are the cheap look and feel of the material, and the way the cover snaps - as a "lefty," I find it awkward to open.
